Endurance[]
Don’t be deceived by Michael’s short stature. As this 5-foot-1½-inches-tall contender says, “Great things often come in small packages.” One tough competitor, Michael loves to ride his dirt-bike, mud-wrestle, play baseball and football, and run track and field! Adapting to the rustic life of Endurance should be easy for Michael: He lives in the mountains of Colorado and considers himself very outdoorsy. He even rolled around in ice-cold, muddy water on his audition tape to show his own endurance. | |

At the beginning of the season, Michael was deceived by his short stature. He was planning to be paired with Daniela but Chris, unaware of this, placed him with Kylie instead. Neither knew each other well at that point but they maintained they would find a way to work together. Michael seemed to initially hang out with Shea and John but seemed to target them in Raft Pull after Blue and Gray publicly announced their alliance, causing them to lose the mission and get sent to temple by Purple.
Mike and Kylie did comparatively mediocre in Drop Out where he was the first person fall with Kylie being the third, making them the first full team out of the challenge. Their poor performances in missions up to this point made them to be considered underdogs and thus were placed by Red to be on the underdog superteam with Purple and Blue. Due to a mistake made by the other superteam, the underdog superteam managed to win. They decided to send Red and Yellow to temple with the latter eliminated in the process.
By the final 5, Mike had developed a reputation as a rat (outright being called one by Jeszie). This was because the others felt he kept shifting alliances and thus was considered untrustworthy. Even Kylie felt he lacked social skills and it was causing negative relations between Orange and the others. Orange narrowly avoided a penalty when they placed fourth in Waterworks. As Green, Purple and Blue seemed to have become quite close to each other, Orange made a counter alliance with Red. In Fireball, Michael was the only boy to serve as the catcher. He caught a ball in the first round and after Green (who also caught theirs) eliminated Blue, he and Kylie choose to eliminate Purple (who had to win the mission to avoid the automatic temple penalty) even though Daniela was on that team. Orange was eliminated in the next round when they failed to catch the ball again but Green did. Green won the mission and while Jezie wanted to send Blue to face Purple, Isaac seemed to convince her to send Orange instead. Orange lost and thus Michael was eliminated. He and Kylie had chosen to leave their piece with Red.
